Pixie receives recognition of excellence
Pixie, has been announced as a finalist for the CWB Independent Retail Awards 2016, one of only two boutiques outside London and the only boutique in the North in this category.
The CWB Awards acknowledge excellence across six award categories for UK retailers of branded children’s apparel, footwear, accessories and school wear. Open to independent retailers across the UK, Pixie has been selected as a finalist in the Best Kids’ Independent Store category.
CWB Independent Retail Award finalists and winners were selected by an impartial industry judging panel and Pixie, a baby and childrenswear boutique based in the heart of Hale village in Cheshire, was nominated in the Best Kids’ Independent Store category and is a finalist along with three other stores in the UK.
Also in 2016 Pixie celebrated their third finalist nomination in the Drapers Independents Awards in the niche retailer of the year category. Drapers are the authority in the UK fashion business and their awards celebrate innovation and talent within the fashion retailing community, identifying who is leading the way in the independent sector.
Gillian Franks, owner of Pixie boutique, said: “We are honoured to be recognised in this category along with three other childrenswear retailers. It’s nice to be recognised for all the hard work we have put in over the last six years and this nomination recognises our growth online, via our new website, and of course our store in Hale, Cheshire. We’re looking forward to an exciting future.”
Passionate about making the Pixie shopping experience one to remember, Gillian has developed a product range full of pieces which parents will covet for their children, supported by a programme of customer events that memories are made from.
Gillian continues: “It’s always been my dream to have my own children’s clothing store. As a mum myself I understand the journey you go on and I was determined to create a shopping experience that supported and developed this magical time. I am so thrilled that not only is this dream now coming true, but that my efforts have been recognised by the industry on more than one occasion.”
