Pixie in Hale and Black White Denim in Wilmslow are working together to find fun, original ways to promote each other, engage the public's interest and help them to understand the benefits of shopping locally.

Award-winning Womenswear indie, Black White Denim, based in Wilmslow Cheshire and ‘Best Kids Shop’ Award finalist, Pixie Childrenswear, based in Hale Cheshire are working together to bring their customers extra benefits such as the convenience of multiple shopping points.

Gillian Franks, owner of popular childrenswear boutique said: “Independent retailers should collaborate to figure out ways to bring the excitement and enticement back to the high street.”

She continues: "Collaborations can go a long way to bringing neighbouring communities together; we know that shoppers want to support their local high streets and that they like being able to access exactly what they want, where they want, and we are working hard to help make that happen.”

And it doesn’t stop there, in addition to being able to ‘click and collect’ your purchases at either store, the local retailers are also collaborating on everything from pop-up shops, in each others stores, to stocking complimentary ranges; Black White Denim Basics, a capsule collection of premium essential wear designed by Black White Denim founder, Jo Davies, and handcrafted in the UK, is available in-store at Pixie, one of several independent British boutiques, handpicked by Jo to stock the collection.

Pixie owner, Gillian Franks, comments: “We are proud to stock the Back White Denim Basics collection, the brand compliments our current product range perfectly and helps us achieve our aim of offering only the best clothing products to our customers.”

Black White Denim has quickly built a loyal customer base in Wimslow since the store opened in September 2010, and the store has already embarked on a number of collaborations with other UK independents to stock their new Black White Denim Basics range. Jo Davies, comments: “Hale offers a unique shopping experience thanks to its exciting mix of premium fashion and international brands and a pop-up shop is a great way to take our concept to those who don’t know it’s out there.”
